What cold weather actually changes
Two things get a little more attention in winter. Concrete and stain. Neither one is a real obstacle in Kansas.
Footings. We plan around the forecast a bit. When we drive the post, like we do on most vinyl fences, we use no concrete at all. Cold ground is no big deal there. For a concrete job, we just want a stretch of two days above 40 degrees to set the posts. That window shows up regularly through a Kansas winter. We watch for it and we book around it.
