Yes. We use Wood Defender stain, and it’s optional — cedar left alone weathers to a soft silver-grey, and plenty of people like it that way. If you want stain, it gets priced as its own line on your quote so you can see exactly what it costs and decide either way. We’ll go through the color options with you on site. 1-Year Workmanship Warranty. Every installation carries a one-year warranty on our own workmanship, and the materials we install carry their manufacturers' warranties — including a residential lifetime limited warranty on the PostMaster+ steel post inside every cedar fence.

It depends on material, height, and gates. Published cost guides put installed fencing in the Wichita metro at roughly $12–$75 per linear foot depending on material — chain link lowest, cedar and vinyl privacy in the middle, ornamental iron highest. Usually not. Wichita and Sedgwick County’s residential code (Ord. 50-833, UBTC Sec. 2.4.030) exempts fences up to 8 feet tall from a building permit. A pool barrier is permitted along with the pool. Zoning height and sight-triangle rules still apply, and most surrounding suburbs require their own permit. Whenever one is needed, Ovora pulls it for you. Kansas has a partition fence law (K.S.A. 29-301) that splits upkeep of a partition fence between adjoining owners in equal shares, unless they agree otherwise. It doesn’t carve out cities, but K-State’s guide to it is written for rural landowners, and we found no Kansas court case or Attorney General opinion applying it to a house lot inside Wichita. The law can make a neighbor pay toward a fence they didn’t build (K.S.A. 29-307, 29-313), and it excuses one who doesn’t want their land enclosed and isn’t using it otherwise than in common (K.S.A. 29-309). So don’t count on splitting it unless you both agree in writing.
